Pussy Riot Member Freed on Appeal
The BBC is reporting that a Moscow court today suspended the two-year sentence of Yekaterina Samutsevich, one of the three members of the activist group Pussy Riot, who were convicted in August of “hooliganism motivated by religious hatred” for staging a protest against Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Christ the Saviour cathedral in the Russian capital in February.
