Chelsea's Rubin Museum of Art, the only American museum devoted exclusively to the arts of Himalayan Asia, has promoted Patrick Sears from deputy director to executive director. In addition to this news, museum honchos announced that four new trustees have been added to the board—Gavin R. Berger, Richard Lanier, Matthew Nimetz and Rasika Reddy. And one last bit of news: Linda Dunne has been brought on to become the museum's first director of museum services and operations.

According to the release, the new appointments are designed "to ensure the stability and growth of the museum beyond [the] tenures" of Rubin co-founders Shelley and Donald Rubin. (Mr. Rubin previously served as chief executive before stepping down in October.) The pair, who recently donated $25 million to the Rubin, launched the museum in 2004 in a 17,000-square-foot building on West 17th Street.
