Robert Wilson Cancels Los Angeles Performace of a Rare Classic

Robert Wilson, the master of avant-garde theater, has postponed indefinitely a Los Angeles performance of his piece I Was Sitting On My Patio This Guy Appeared I Thought I Was Hallucinating. That work was performed  once, also in L.A., in 1977 at the Wilshire Ebell Theater. Mr. Wilson and his collaborator Lucinda Childs were set to debut the first of 11 performances of I Was Sitting On My Patio This Guy Appeared I Thought I Was Hallucinating as part of the the Pacific Standard Time Performance and Public Art Festival on Jan. 26.
