303 Gallery announced this morning that it is working with the Tel Aviv-born, Los Angeles-based artist Elad Lassry, who had been without New York representation. His last show at a commercial gallery in New York was in 2010 at Luhring Augustine.

Visiting Chelsea is hard work in winter. Frigid gusts whip off the Hudson and turn the former industrial neighborhood’s wide streets into punishing wind tunnels. But a month after the river overflowed, flooding galleries and destroying art, a complaint like that feels inconsequential. Galleries have made repairs and reopened, and a few are offering shows informed in intriguing ways by recent events. Call them the After Sandys.
Interview just put up an interview with Richard Prince, conducted by Kim Gordon, guitarist and bassist for Sonic Youth, whose 2004 album “Sonic Nurse” used a Prince Nurse painting for its cover.

Screening: Andy Warhol’s Paul Swan at Light Industry
Light Industry will screen Andy Warhol’s 1965 two-reel film of dancer Paul Swan, who was 82 at the time and still performing at weekly salons. The film will be introduced by art historian Douglas Crimp. –Michael H. Miller
