Curator Bridget Finn will leave her current post at Independent Curators International to join Mitchell-Innes & Nash, the gallery announced yesterday, where she will co-direct the contemporary program in their Chelsea space with M-I & Nasher Nicole Russo.

“It’s an ideal next step for me,” Ms. Finn said over the phone.

As co-director she’ll be “liaising with artists, doing sales, working on all the different needs of the gallery, programming hopefully, introducing new artists to the gallery—everything that that involves.”

She begins in mid-December to wrap things up with ICI, which has its big benefit auction on Nov. 19.

“I’m going to [Art Basel] Miami with ICI,” Ms. Finn said. “And the idea is: I’m sort of leaving with Mitchell-Innes & Nash.”

Ms. Finn is also a co-owner of the Cleopatra’s gallery in Greenpoint.
