The Danish Pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale will feature a multi-channel film by the artist Jesper Just. The project will consist of five films played simultaneously on a loop that examine “architectural pastiche and cultural dislocation,” particularly that of Paris, according to a release from the Danish Arts Council.

In a statement, Mr. Just said, “When you start digging into the history and narratives specific to a given location, you begin to see how it informs your perception of the space–how you view it, think about it, and act towards it. I’m very interested in the idea that a place can perform, just like people and characters perform.”

In addition to the films, there will also be a “communications system” that will allow people who can’t make it to Venice experience the pavilion. Take a look at some stills from the film here.
