So, it's Sunday night, Dec 16. You want to do a little dancing. You also want to support some essential nonprofit arts organizations hit by Sandy. You can do both at once. That evening, beginning at 9 p.m., a large gang of organizations is hosting a benefit at the Tribeca club Santos Party House to raise money for the Kitchen, which sustained some $500,000 in damage; Printed Matter, which was flooded; and Primary Information, which had its inventory soaked.

It sounds like a pretty solid lineup is planned for the evening. John Giorno and No Bra will perform, and there will be DJ sets from Emergency Party (Peter Doig, Parinaz Mogadassi and DJ Desktop Hologram), S & M (Printed Matter's Shannon Cane and Matt Connors, who has a very beautiful show at MoMA PS1 right now), Spencer Sweeney, White Columns director Matthew Higgs, Nick Relph and some special guests.

The event is being presented by Artists Space, Light Industry, Participant Inc., Primary Information, Printed Matter, the Kitchen, Triple Canopy, White Columns and Santos. Admission is a $20 donation at the door.
