In her Financial Times column this week, Georgina Adam reports on the story that London's Hotel gallery will "go into liquidation," to use the English euphemism.

Started by Christabel Stewart and Darren Flook in 2003, the gallery had a solid reputation for promoting young artists of quality. Mr. Flook is, with Elizabeth Dee, the co-founder of the Independent art fair, which is where he says he'll be now focusing his time.

“I will be concentrating on Independent and looking at other creative roles,” said Flook. “But for the moment I am finding that winding down a business is a tremendous amount of work.”
