<p>In her <em>Financial Times</em> <a href="http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/2/f084080e-0306-11e2-a284-00144feabdc0.html?ftcamp=published_links%2Frss%2Flife-arts_visual%2Ffeed%2F%2Fproduct#axzz2BlDNEehy">column</a> this week, Georgina Adam reports on the story that London's Hotel gallery will "go into liquidation," to use the English euphemism.<!--more--></p>
<p>Started by Christabel Stewart and Darren Flook in 2003, the gallery had a solid reputation for promoting young artists of quality. Mr. Flook is, with Elizabeth Dee, the co-founder of the Independent art fair, which is where he says he'll be now focusing his time.</p>

<blockquote><p>“I will be concentrating on Independent and looking at other creative roles,” said Flook. “But for the moment I am finding that winding down a business is a tremendous amount of work.”</p></blockquote>
