Some good news! Andrew Kreps Gallery, which was damaged by Hurricane Sandy, will reopen Nov. 10 with an exhibition by Goshka Macuga. Here’s the full statement from the gallery:
We are pleased to announce that the gallery will open its doors for the first time post-Sandy with Goshka Macuga’s exhibition. It has been a harrowing week for many in Chelsea, others around the state and beyond. We have been saddened to see so much damage, and can’t gauge how long the restoration will take. With that said, we have also been moved by so many people reaching out and offering help. In turn, we would like to invite anyone and everyone who has been affected by the storm to stop by and have a drink – to commiserate – to vent – to laugh – and to share a toast to the future.
We still don’t have heat – so wear a sweater. We will provide the liquid heat.
Liquid heat is more fun than the non-liquid kind anyway.
