The new Glenn Ligon show at Luhring Augustine Chelsea, “Neon,” features one piece that will only be illuminated for one day.

One Black Day features the date of the upcoming presidential election written in neon cursive. It will be illuminated on that day, and then turned off, never to be turned on again. Neat, right?
