The New York Times reports that the Andy Warhol Foundation will sell its entire collection of works by the artist through Christie’s to focus on its grant-giving duties.
The collection lacks any big ticket items but reportedly “possesses a bevy of paintings, prints, photographs and drawings, some of which the public has never seen.” Christie’s will sell the works through live and online auctions and some works will go for under $10,000. The whole bundle is expected to bring in $100 million for the foundation.
