CUNY’s Feminist Press to Publish Pussy Riot Book

The Feminist Press at the City University of New York will be publishing an ebook of essays about the Russian punk group Pussy Riot. Three of the group's members are serving jail sentences after being convicted of "hooliganism inspired by religious hatred" after a short performance at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. Some of the stellar contributors to the book are Yoko Ono, Johanna Fateman, Karen Finley, Justin Vivian Bond, Eileen Myles and JD Samson.

Profits from the book, which is available Sept. 21, will support the Pussy Riot legal defense team.
