Some of the last paintings Thomas Kinkade made before his death earlier this year went on view in Cape May, N.J, this past weekend. The paintings, displayed at Victorian Walk Gallery, are part of a series depicting attractions in Cape May, a town that Kinkade visited frequently. The works were discovered in his studio after his death.
Kinkade died at age 54 from an apparent overdose of alcohol and valium in April. His widow and his girlfriend are currently fighting over the artist’s estate, valued at about $100 million.
