Art in America reports that Michelle Yun, curator at New York’s Hunter College Art Galleries, will join Asia Society as a curator of modern and contemporary art, where the museum has an impressive program in her field.
Art in America notes that Ms. Yun has organized exhibitions like “Patti Smith. 9.11″ and co-curated “Notations: The John Cage Effect Today” at Hunter.
Last year the museum put on a couldn’t-miss show of work by Sarah Sze, who will represent the United States at the next Venice Biennale.
