Art in America reports that the financially struggling American Folk Art Museum received a $1 million bequest today from David L. Davies, a former trustee who died in March, and his partner Jack Weeden.

Last year the museum moved from its home next to the Museum of Modern Art because it faced $31.9 million in bond debt that it could not repay. More at Art in America.
