Three galleries in Bushwick, Famous Accountants, 950 Hart and Botanic, will soon close according to Whitney Kimball at The L Magazine.

Details about the closings remain sketchy, but rent seems to have been a major cause in all three cases. Bushwick being what it is, some of this was to be expected. On its website, Botanic gallery describes itself as a “provisional gallery space for art and other creative research.”

Also closing is a Bushwick hangout called the Life Cafe.
