The New York Times reports that the Pompidou Center’s Quentin Bajac will serve as the Museum of Modern Art’s next chief curator of photography.

Mr. Bajac will replace Peter Galassi, who retired last year after 30 years at the museum.

Mr. Bajac has run the photography department at the Paris contemporary art museum since 2007, which he joined in 2003 after eight years at the Musée d’Orsay.
