The legendary arts writer and occasional Observer contributor Anthony Haden-Guest’s cartoons will appear, on a weekly basis, on the culture blog for the Standard hotel chain. The blog made the announcement last week and, though we check it all the time to be sure, we somehow missed it.

Mr. Haden-Guest’s cartoons are a recent development in his oeuvre. They tend to be slices of life from the art world and the people who inhabit it (he sold T-shirts based on them at Art Basel Miami Beach last year).

The image to the left is the inaugural one for the Standard. Huzzah for Anthony! As they'd no doubt say in his native England.
