The nonprofit St. Louis art institution White Flag Projects announced today that Sam Korman has been named assistant director.

Mr. Korman was formerly the curatorial assistant with the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas. Prior to that, he founded the Portland exhibition space Car Hole, which led to the publication of his exhibition writings, called Notes From a Young Curator.

White Flag Projects was founded in 2006 to strengthen the contemporary art scene in St. Louis. Recent projects have included work by artists like Tommy Hartung & Uri Aran, Amy Granat and Garth Weiser.
