Amani Olu, who handles a number of art world clients for the Nadine Johnson and Associates PR firm, will leave that company to start a gallery. His last day is Friday.
The gallery will be called Denny Olu, Mr. Olu said in an email, named after himself and his partner Elizabeth Denny. The two are still finalizing their real-estate plans, and artist roster, but Mr. Olu said he expects to have those details next week.
The gallery will open this September with a show by artist Amy Globus, who used to show with the Chelsea gallery D’Amelio Terras, which closed early this year.
