The Art Show, which opens Wednesday at the Park Avenue Armory, is the longest-running art fair in the nation. In its 24th year, the fair, which is organized by the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA), presents both contemporary work from artists like Yoshitomo Nara as well as works from the 19th and 20th centuries, such as paintings by Otto Dix.

Some of our favorites from the show are Tanya Bonakdar’s presentation of an installation by Sarah Sze (who will represent the US in the 2013 Venice Biennale), Cheim & Read’s display of sculpture by Lynda Benglis and Metro Pictures’ set of black and white images from Cindy Sherman’s “Murder Mystery” series. With 72 exhibitors, this is an art fair that offers diversity and breadth while still being manageable.
