Christian Marclay, the composer and visual artist who became somewhat of a superstar from his sensational 24-hour film The Clock, will join Bang on a Can All-Stars onstage at Lincoln Center in April to celebrate the music collective's 25th anniversary.

The show, presented on April 28, will be the U.S. premiere of Field Recordings, a nine-composer multimedia project that incorporates film, found sound and archival audio and video. The contributing composers are Tyondai Braxton, Florent Ghys, as well as the three founders of Bang on a Can, Michael Gordon, David Lang, Julia Wolfe and, finally, Evan Ziporyn. They will also be joined by Mira Calix and Nick Zammuto.

Mr. Marclay first came to everyone's attention as a DJ. He was a pioneer of using turntables as instruments themselves. Here is the artist performing on the long-gone variety show, Night Music in 1989. He is introduced as a "turntablist."
