MoMA PS1 has something of an appetizer for the slavering hordes hungry for the news that the shuttered diner M. Wells will indeed open a cafeteria in the museum, which has been rumored since August. This Sunday, at the museum’s Winter Open House, the beloved and defunct diner will offer two “slamming sandwiches.”
According to the event listing:
“12:00–6:00 PM, Courtyard
“M. Wells will be preparing two slamming sandwiches, ‘The Casablanca’ and ‘The Steak Frites,’ on an outdoor grill in the courtyard all afternoon.”
The open house will also feature a new show featuring the work of Henry Taylor, whom Michael H. Miller profiled this week. The museum actually partnered with M. Wells back in December as well, for a food-happy Winter Carnival.
