<p>It's no big surprise: the <a href="http://www.newmuseum.org/exhibitions/449/carsten_hller_experience">Carsten Höller show at the New Museum</a> has brought in more people than any show in the museum's 35-year history. The show closes Sunday and the museum<a href="http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/01/18/new-museums-record-breaking-holler-exhibition-prepares-to-close/"> told the <em>New York Times</em></a> that it expects more than 100,000 people will have seen the exhibition by then.</p>
<p><!--more--><em>The Times </em>reports that about 30,000 visitors have gone down Mr.  Höller's kind of claustrophobic slide, which takes up two stories of the museum. Parts of the show are already closed, like the <a href="http://www.galleristny.com/2011/10/city-puts-limits-on-carsten-hollers-new-museum-show-beause-of-potential-for-artistically-transmitted-diseases/">deprivation tank that awakened the hypochondriac </a>in us (<a href="http://www.galleristny.com/2011/12/ear-infections-carsten-holler-psycho-tank-12122011/">and a number of other people</a>). Thanks for the memories, Carsten.</p>
