Screening: Alison O’Daniel “Night Sky” at Anthology Film Archives
Part of Art in General’s “Walking Forward—Running Past” exhibition that celebrates the space’s 30th season, Alison O’Daniel’s film follows two women as they travel to the desert, and splice the journey with scenes from a dance marathon. — M.M.

Screening: “Jack Smith Program 3″ at the Museum of Modern Art
MoMA ends its two-week series of screenings by the consistently outré outsider Jack Smith with the artist’s only feature-length film, Normal Love (1963–65). Check the museum’s schedule for other Smith screenings. — A.R.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 27

Screening: Georges Méliès at Anthology Film Archives
Anthology is screening a number of the turn-of-the-century French director’s films, including a many that feature hand-colored frames in three separate series. All told, more than a dozen films will be shown, but that hardly scratches the surface of this oeuvre: he directed more than 500 works in his life.  — A.R.
